Shwmae! I'm Aled Bartholomew, a web developer
based in Cardiff, Wales.
I currently build products for the web through my consultancy,
Smotyn. I'm a
full stack developer with over 15 years experience in building and maintaining websites
using technologies such as
html5,
php,
node js
and their
various interconnecting
tools. If you'd like to work with me,
get in touch.
Projects
-
- BrochureKit
-
A webapp that builds PDF brochures in the cloud from pre-defined templates, originally
built specifically for estate agents to build brochures and particulars. It's been
neglected since its first launch in 2014, so I'm currently rebuilding it to improve its
features and expand its scope beyond the property industry.
Selected Work
-
- Côr CF1
-
A website for a choir I'm a member of. We won
Choir of the year in 2014.
I'm currently the face of their social media accounts because I was chairman of the choir
back then!
-
- Greenlands Insurance Services
-
I've been working with Greenlands for a number of years, building various aspects of
their website and intranet. Recently I've been working on a new version of their online
‘quote and buy’ system, which creates a tailor-made quote for their smallholding based on
a number of different factors. Quite complex, really.
-
- Chilled Chalets
-
My friends Bethan & Chris wanted a website for their new chalet company. I highly
recommend them — Bethan's a wonderful host and Chris cooks the best meals. I built a
responsive one-page website for them to show what they had to offer.
-
- Cwmni Dawns Werin Caerdydd
-
CDWC is the official folk-dance team in Cardiff. I've been dancing with them since I've
been able to walk. I built this responsive website a few years ago, along with a basic
news management system to add their latest news.
